This vineyard is next to the Russian River in Alexander Valley, a low set vineyard that produces late harvest wine almost every year, very special and amazing for Alexander Valley.
Always a challenge to make: and signals the end of harvest, but a lengthy fermentation that lasts 67 days. Harvested on 10/24/11 at 42.1° Brix The juice that produced this wine was concentrated; liquid gold with beautifully intense honey, floral and stonefruit notes that carry over into the wine, ferment slowly and stopping on it's own at 10.5% alcohol on 12/31/09 has a residual sugar of 23.8%. It's natural concentration and acidity lend balance and elegance to this rare wine.
